Though I'm an attorney, and my job is to rain on parades, I'm not particularly knowledgeable about trademark law (and this isn't legal advice) but you might want to check http://tess2.uspto.gov/bin/showfield?f=doc&state=4006:696nu8.2.2 and check with an atty who is knowledgeable about such things before using it. It could cause you problems, depending on how humorless the current owners of the EC that trademark are.
Blarg. Just remembered USPTO search links 'expire'. To see the doc I was referring go to http://tess2.uspto.gov/bin/gate.exe?f=login&p_lang=english&p_d=trmk and hit "New User Form" and search "entertaining comics" (in quotes).
