Disapproved by the Comics Code Authority
I was just reading Brian Cronin's latest Comic Book Legends Revealed columns on CBR (if you haven't picked up his book yet, what are you waiting for?), and came across this interesting tidbit about the "vampire" provision in the 1954 original version of the Comics Code.
Well, depending on how you define a couple of those terms, the forthcoming I, ZOMBIE pretty much runs the board there. Not that a Vertigo book would ever have passed the CCA, of course, but it's nice to know that we're ticking off all of the prohibited monsters and activities in one fell swoop.Scenes dealing with, or instruments associated with walking dead, torture, vampires and vampirism, ghouls, cannibalism, and werewolfism are prohibited.
