I always plump for Arisian lenses, but then I am a classicist where sf is concerned, and think that Kimball Kinnison is the original power ranger. Still the Galactic Guardians rule OK by me, Hal Jordan is the best and true Green Lantern, and power rings on space cops would be cool!

On the other hand, I mentioned this post to a co-worker and he came up with Gort from THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL.
