Like the new Doctor Who series, of which Torchwood (an anagram of Doctor Who) is a spinoff, this new series is likewise from the mind of Russell T. Davies. Probably the first genre series centered around "hunky bisexual." Captain Jack was one of my favorite elements of the new Who series, and I was hoping that he'd turn up again in a future episode or two, but I hadn't imagined he'd get his own show!
