Giving Thanks
Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. Eating too much, drinking, and loafing around with family for a few days? What's not to love?
There is, of course, the whole "giving thanks" aspect, too, which is nice.
So what am I thankful for? Two things. Want to guess what they might be?
Here's one hint.

Here's another.

Got it yet? Well, here's one last hint.

So that's me. Sure, I'm also endlessly grateful that I have the opportunity to write books and stories, and that there are publishers willing to print them and readers willing to read them. (I have my dream job, honestly, and what could be better than that?) And I'm lucky to have such terrific friends and family, who have supported me along the way. But if I had to sum up everything I'm truly thankful for, it would be those two girls up there.
How about you? What are you thankful for?

I've got a lovely woman in my life, who came with a kind family. I have a sister with whom my relationship is getting better (and she has a good husband as well), and I have some good friends and a comfortable life. So I'm good this year.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Awww, your ladies are lovely. You are indeed a lucky man! I've had a lot of trials this year, and it's hard for me to think what I'm thankful for. I can honestly say I'm thankful I have a recession-proof, well-paying job, and good friends, my health. I only wish my kitty Sam had his health, but he's a happy boy, and I love on him as much as I can.
Oh and I'm seriously thankful for the change of government! :-D

I am grateful for my husband, my son, the oh-so-colorful rest of my extended family, my health, my job, my hobbies, and, yes, the change in political leadership, which I hope will bring a more humble and productive approach to things like foreign relationships and the environment.
Lucky me!
Thanks for the nudge to reflect!
