Cowboy Cody's Flying Cathedral

How have I never heard of Samuel Franklin Cody before?! Cowboy, prospector, wild west showman, and aviation pioneer. A native Texan transplanted to England, he was the first in Great Britain to fly, and later built a biplane called the Flying Cathedral, the largest in the world at that point.

Jesus. How cool is that?

Comments:
Drat. I thought he was my little secret....

Well, it's too late in the game for him to get more than a name check in End of the Century (and besides, there's already a transplanted Texan wild west performer in the 1897 London chapters, so two would be too many), but I may well be coming back to him later on. I think he may end up in The Great Crosstime Airship Race, if I ever get around to writing that one.

With a title like that, how could you not write it?

Oh, it'll be a doozy, if I do. So far the cast includes Edgar Rice Burroughs, Aleister Crowley, Jack London, Mata Hari, and Howard Carter, and now it's a certainty that Samuel Franklin Cody is in the mix, as well. Think Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines, but with dimensionally transcendent airships.
